Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
Work Process Redesign.
Conducted diagnostic of work processes in FDIC's Division of Supervision regarding reporting and use of financial institution data. Analyzed findings and made recommendations for improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, responsiveness, simplification, and implications for innovations in electronic data-gathering methods. Based on management approval of recommendations, created internal redesign team, and developed detailed organizational redesign for implementation.

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Strategic Framework.
For USAID's Office of Economic Restructuring, developed a strategic framework for small business development programs in ten countries in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Developed programmatic strategies to enhance business creation and growth, including technical assistance, institution-building, legal, and policy reforms.

National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.
Commercial Bank Restructuring.
Restructured the lending activities of three commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan, in the former Soviet Union. Produced diagnostic of credit processes, policies, and procedures. Designed and implemented re-engineering plan. Developed credit manuals for improved lending policies, procedures, risk analysis techniques, and other best practices. Produced substantial reductions in non-value-added steps for loan evaluation, origination, monitoring, and repayment processes. The National Bank has since adopted the credit manual as a model for all commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan.

Software Development Company in Northern Virginia.
Strategic Plan.
Developed strategic plan for this company specializing in advanced 3D visualization technology, and high performance computing and communications. Determined key result areas and priority issues, assessed proposed project activities, and revised benchmark targets. Resulted in re-positioning of products and competitive strategy.

Information Technology and Management Consulting Firm.
Business Plan.
Developed business plan for a Division of this Maryland-based firm, on Inc. Magazine's list of fastest growing companies from 1994-1997. Prepared revenue projections, competitive marketing strategy, personnel requirements, and established government contracting priorities.

Medical Health Care Cost Recovery Company.
Work Process Improvement.
Reviewed and improved key work processes related to insurance carrier audits. Standardized process steps and developed written process protocol to enhance quality control and new staff training in this fast growing Ohio- based business.

Wholesale Sheet Music Business.
Expansion Plan.
Developed a strategy for corporate expansion of this Washington D.C.-based business. Expansion plan included feasibility of relocation to new retail space, development of national catalogue sales division, and enhanced customer service. As a result, the company developed a detailed training manual for new staff, implemented new financial controls, and re-prioritized business-line focus.
